Enhancements and Releases in October 2022

Last month, we expanded our integrations in RealtiWeb. As well, releasing and updating documents.

RealtiWeb

There were exciting updates in mid-October, with LLC integration becoming available in the BC, Manitoba and Saskatchewan versions of RealtiWeb.

Additionally, our integration with Chicago Title insurance arrived in RealtiWeb Saskatchewan after Thanksgiving.

For those who have been accessing tax searches from their RealtiWeb files via the additional options menu (near the Save button), you’ll notice that only the subject property’s specific tax search will appear. If no jurisdiction (or City/Town) is selected in the RealtiWeb file, then all tax searches for that particular version of RealtiWeb will be available (until a jurisdiction is selected in the RealtiWeb file).

British Columbia

There were several updates to RealtiWeb BC.

  • Integration with LLC

  • New standard documents named:

    • PTT Waiver

    • Mortgage Engagement Letter

    • Source of Money - Individual

    • Source of Money - Corporate

    • The document Strata Form B was updated.

We worked to update our conveyancing application, RealtiWeb to accommodate the latest Property Transfer Tax Return (version 35). However, due to delays the release was deferred. For when the PTT will be updated and for details about the changes, see the LTSA’s site here.

Saskatchewan

RealtiWeb Saskatchewan is integrated with LLC to bring in mortgage instructions. Plus, the integration with Chicago Title insurance to order title policies without leaving your RealtiWeb file was released too.

In addition to these exciting releases, new documents were added to RealtiWeb Saskatchewan.

  • Trust Letter (v Apr 2022): released to follow the Law Society of Saskatchewan’s updated Standard Uniform Trust Condition (UTC) Format Letter. We added “- Legacy” to the end of the Trust Letter and Trust Letter to Purchaser’s Solicitor, to keep these documents available in RealtiWeb for those who want to refer to them.

  • Release of Possession Request: an alternative to the Authorization for Release of Keys

Manitoba

The integration with LLC was released for RealtiWeb Manitoba.

Ontario

In Ontario, we updated RealtiWeb with the latest Registration fees set out in Schedule I. These fees will be increasing November 7, 2022. The increase reflects a 4.065 per cent increase pursuant to this CPI adjustment. The fees are set out in Schedules II and III will not be increasing. See the full bulletin from the Government of Ontario for more details.

In addition to the above fees increasing, there was an announcement that Teranet Connect Search Service Fee was increasing to $1.10 plus HST, effective November 7, 2022. For more information, read Teranet’s bulletin. If you’re using RealtiWeb for your title and writ searches, the increase will be reflected.

The Non-Resident Speculation Tax (NRST) increased on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 from 20% to 25%. RealtiWeb is reflecting this increase on files with Contract dates on or after October 25, 2022 which are identified as NRST applying. For more information on this increase see the Government of Ontario’s website.
