Enhancements and Releases in December 2023
The latest updates and releases for RealtiWeb, includes a new Notification Centre for notifications regarding ClientConnect, builder and lender notices, and replaces our previous bulletin board. Document updates have also been implemented for RealtiWeb BC and Saskatchewan.
Both platforms, RealtiBuilderSales and RealtiWeb, received important updates in December 2023. Details on the changes are below.
RealtiWeb
For those using the Enhanced view in RealtiWeb, you may have noticed the update of bulletins into notification-style updates, including notices from ClientConnect and the LDD Inbox. The Notification icon, resembling a bell, will signal new information with an orange dot.
British Columbia
We have been working on reformatting our standard RealtiWeb documents. Over the December 8 weekend, we updated several standard documents to limit the use of tables for formatting. This will create a better experience when editing the generated document.
Saskatchewan
The Direction & Authorization documents were updated in RealtiWeb Saskatchewan for Purchase and Mortgage files.
Updates Across the Legal Profession
RealtiWeb
During December 2023, there were changes to the Municipal Land Transfer Tax (MLTT) rates in for properties in the City of Toronto, and in BC the release of a new version (Version 36) of the Property Transfer Tax (PTT) web-based return. RealtiWeb for BC and Ontario was updated accordingly, and the details are below.
Ontario
The City of Toronto approved new MLTT rates, effective January 1, 2024. RealtiWeb Ontario was updated on December 7, 2023, to reflect the changes. Anyone working on a file with a property subject to MLTT, please review your Account, Trust, and other documents for the amount of MLTT. For details on the revised MLTT brackets, please refer to the City of Toronto's website.
British Columbia
The release of the new version (Version 36) of the PTT web-based return happened December 11, 2023. RealtiWeb BC was updated upon its release. For details, please see the notice from the LTSA.
Nova Scotia
We are actively working to bring ClientConnect and its client id verification feature into RealtiWeb Nova Scotia in accordance with the notice from Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society (NSBS).
RealtiBuilderSales
There were new CRA Trust Account Reporting and Filing Obligations regarding condominium deposit monies held in trust.
LDD will be adding enhancements to the RealtiBuilderSales Condominium program to provide for this new requirement. In order to do this, we have been consulting with the accounting firm Sone Rovet Chasson LLP and other lawyers to determine what is required and the best way to help you meet the requirements. The deadline for filing is the end of March 2024.
